What We Mean by “Threaded Rods”
Threaded rod — also called all-thread rod or studding — is continuous externally threaded bar stock, supplied in standard lengths (typically 1m, 2m, or 3m) and cut down by the buyer or installer to whatever length the job needs. Because it’s supplied as raw stock rather than a finished, cut-to-spec fastener, it’s the go-to solution for hanging, bracing, suspension, and general fabrication work where exact end preparation and tight length tolerance aren’t structural requirements.
We manufacture the full range in-house: coarse thread (UNC/metric coarse) rod, the industry default for general fabrication; fine thread (UNF) rod, used where higher tensile stress area and finer adjustment matter; ASTM A193 Grade B7 all-thread rod for higher-strength structural and process applications; stainless steel rod for corrosion-exposed environments; and a cut-to-length service so you receive exactly the piece length you need rather than full-length stock.

Threaded Rod vs Stud Bolt — What’s Actually the Difference?
These two products are made from similar bar stock and both take two nuts, which is exactly why buyers mix them up. The real difference is precision and intent. A stud bolt is manufactured to a controlled overall length with a specific thread runout and a defined grade for a specific flange or joint — it’s a finished fastener. Threaded rod is stock material, supplied full-length, meant to be cut down on site — it’s raw material, not a finished part. Specifying threaded rod for a pressure flange (where thread runout and length tolerance matter for gasket seating) or a stud bolt for general hanging and bracing (where you’re paying for precision you don’t need) are both real, avoidable mistakes.
