Why a Weight Chart Genuinely Earns Its Own Page
Fastener weight is simple geometry multiplied by material density — volume of the head, shank, and thread engagement, times the density of whatever material it’s made from. That calculation is straightforward on paper, but doing it correctly for every size and material combination on a large order is exactly the kind of repetitive work a reference chart exists to remove.
It matters commercially in a very concrete way — ocean and air freight are billed by weight or volume, container loading plans depend on accurate total shipment weight, and a quantity-based purchase order needs to reconcile with the weight figure on the packing list without surprises at customs or on arrival.
Material choice changes the answer more than people expect — the same M16 hex bolt in titanium weighs roughly half of what it does in steel, purely from density, which matters a great deal when weight-sensitive freight or aerospace weight budgets are part of the specification.
Akbar Fasteners Pvt. Ltd. exports to over 50 countries, and these reference tables reflect the sizes and materials we manufacture and ship most often — for anything outside this range, we calculate exact figures for your specific order.
What These Tables Genuinely Help With
Accurate Freight Cost Estimation
Estimate shipment weight before finalizing an order, avoiding freight cost surprises later.
Container & Pallet Load Planning
Plan realistic container loading and pallet weight limits ahead of packing and dispatch.
Material Comparison at a Glance
See how much weight changes between steel, stainless, and titanium for the same fastener size.
Purchase Order Reconciliation
Cross-check quantity-based orders against expected total weight before shipment.
Hex Bolt Weight Chart
Approximate weight per piece, full-thread hex head bolts at standard length-to-diameter proportions, in three material classes.
