Akbar Fasteners Pvt. Ltd. manufactures ASME-standard exotic alloy fasteners from our ISO 9001:2015 certified Mumbai facility. Our primary scope is ASME B16.5 pressure flange stud bolt sets — the most critical fastener in chemical process and oil and gas plants. Every ASME B16.5 stud bolt set from Akbar Fasteners is manufactured from certified UNS-designated alloy bar stock, PMI XRF-verified before machining, and dispatched with a complete documentation package meeting EPC and TPI hold plan requirements.
ASME B16.5 defines six pressure classes (150, 300, 600, 900, 1500, 2500) and specifies stud bolt lengths and thread engagement for each class and flange bore size. We manufacture to all six classes in Hastelloy C276, C22, B3, B2, Monel K500, Monel 400, Inconel 625, Duplex 2205, Super Duplex 2507, and Titanium Grade 5 — the complete exotic alloy range that process engineers specify when carbon steel and stainless steel cannot provide sufficient corrosion resistance for the service fluid and temperature.

ASME B16.5
Defines stud bolt lengths and thread engagement for all six ASME pressure classes (150, 300, 600, 900, 1500, 2500) across all flange bore sizes from ½” NPS to 24″ NPS. The primary ASME dimensional standard governing exotic alloy stud bolt sets for chemical process, oil and gas, and offshore pressure flanges. Akbar Fasteners manufactures B16.5 stud bolt sets in all six classes in Hastelloy, Monel, Inconel, Duplex, and Titanium.
ASME B18.2.1
Inch-thread hex bolt dimensional standard (UNC / UNF) — across-flats, head height, thread length, and shank geometry for ¼”–4″ hex bolts in exotic alloys. For US chemical plant, HCl facility, and petroleum refinery projects where imperial dimensions are specified. Available in Hastelloy C276, C22, B3, Monel K500, and Monel 400 in full thread and partial thread configurations.
ASME B18.2.2
Inch-thread heavy hex nut dimensional standard — wider across-flats and greater height than ISO 4032 standard hex nuts. The ASME B16.5 standard nut form for inch-thread pressure flange stud bolt sets. Akbar Fasteners supplies B18.2.2 heavy hex nuts from the same certified exotic alloy heat as matching stud bolts — single MTC for the complete stud bolt set. Hastelloy, Monel, Inconel in all ASME pressure classes.
ASME B18.2.3.6M
Metric heavy hex bolt dimensional standard — wider across-flats (AF) and greater head height than DIN 933 standard hex bolts. For high-torque chemical reactor cover bolting, large agitated vessel closures, and heat exchanger channel head bolts requiring maximum wrench engagement in exotic alloys. M12–M100. Available in Hastelloy C276, C22, B3, Monel K500, and Monel 400 solution-annealed condition.
ASME B18.31.2
Thread tolerance and dimensional requirements for continuous thread (fully threaded) stud bolts used in ASME B16.5 pressure flange joints. Defines thread runout, undercut dimensions, chamfer, and thread tolerance class 2A for stud bolt shank and end thread. All Akbar Fasteners ASME B16.5 stud bolts are manufactured to B18.31.2 thread and dimensional requirements as a minimum.
ASME PCC-1
ASME PCC-1 defines torque values, K-factor lubrication correction, assembly sequence (Appendix F cross-bolt pattern), gasket compression targets, and joint audit requirements for exotic alloy ASME B16.5 pressure flange joints. Akbar Fasteners supplies PCC-1 torque tables, anti-seize recommendations, and assembly sequence documentation with matched-heat ASME B16.5 stud bolt sets on request.
