Why India Manufactures Inconel Fasteners
India’s position as a nickel alloy fastener manufacturing base didn’t happen by accident. Decades of investment in forging, machining, and heat treatment capability for stainless and alloy steel fastening created the infrastructure and skilled labor pool that nickel alloy manufacturing was later built on top of — the same lathes, the same quality inspection discipline, extended to harder, more work-hardening-prone materials like Inconel. That’s why Indian-manufactured Inconel fasteners aren’t a newer or less proven category than Indian-manufactured stainless fasteners — they’re an extension of the same manufacturing tradition.
Manufacturing Inconel correctly is genuinely harder than manufacturing stainless — the alloy’s high strength and work-hardening tendency make it more demanding to machine without inducing surface damage or dimensional drift, and its nickel-chromium chemistry requires tighter control during heat treatment to hit the correct hardness and strength for precipitation-hardened grades like 718 and X-750. A manufacturer’s actual capability shows up in consistency across batches, not in a single sample part.
Akbar Fasteners Pvt. Ltd. manufactures its Inconel range at our Mumbai facility under ISO 9001:2015, with the same quality system and documentation discipline applied whether the order is for 50 pieces or 5,000, and whether it’s shipping domestically or to one of the 50+ countries we export to.
Manufacturing Capability You Can Verify
ISO 9001:2015 Certified Process
Every stage of manufacture — from raw material inspection to final dispatch — governed by a documented, audited quality system.
Full Four-Grade Manufacturing
Inconel 625, 718, 600, and X-750 manufactured in-house rather than sub-contracted, giving us direct control over consistency.
Batch-Level Traceability
Every fastener traceable back to its raw material heat number, with mill test documentation issued for every lot.
Established Export Infrastructure
Regular export shipments through Nhava Sheva (JNPT) to over 50 countries, with documentation prepared to destination-specific expectations.
Our Inconel Manufacturing Process
Raw Material Sourcing & Inspection
Inconel bar stock sourced and verified against chemical composition requirements before entering production.
Forging / Machining
Precision machining accounting for Inconel’s work-hardening behavior, maintaining dimensional tolerance throughout.
Heat Treatment
Solution annealing or precipitation hardening applied per grade, critical for 718 and X-750 mechanical properties.
Thread Rolling / Cutting
Threading performed to the specified standard (UNC/UNF/Metric) with in-process gauging.
Final Inspection & Testing
Dimensional, mechanical, and where required NABL-accredited testing conducted before release.
Documentation & Dispatch
Full MTC, COC, and COO prepared, with shipment arranged through Nhava Sheva to your destination port.
Our Inconel Fastener Range
Inconel 625
Corrosion-resistant fastening for sour gas, marine, and chloride-heavy service.
UNS N07718Inconel 718
Precipitation-hardened stud bolts for structurally loaded high-temperature joints.
UNS N06600Inconel 600
Solid-solution fasteners for extreme oxidation and carburization resistance.
UNS N07750Inconel X-750
Age-hardened fasteners for stress-relaxation resistance at sustained temperature.
Quality Control at Every Stage
Documented checks applied consistently, not spot-checked occasionally.
Incoming Material Verification
Raw bar stock checked against chemical composition certificates before acceptance into production.
In-Process Dimensional Checks
Gauging at multiple stages of machining and threading to catch drift before final inspection.
Heat Treatment Verification
Hardness testing confirms correct heat treatment response, particularly for age-hardened 718 and X-750.
Final Mechanical Testing
Tensile, yield, and elongation testing performed per batch before release for dispatch.
NABL-Accredited Testing on Request
Independent third-party testing available where end-client specification requires it.
Documentation Cross-Check
MTC and COC reviewed against the original purchase order specification before shipment release.
